Lead Pastor – Ray Chang

Pastor Raymond Chang is originally from Southern California where he went to Biola University majoring in Biblical Studies. From Biola, he went to Talbot and Dallas Theological Seminary earning and Masters in Divinity and a Masters in Sacred Theology. Currently, he is studying for his Doctorate in Ministry at Trinity Divinity Evangelical School. In addition to academic history, Pastor Ray has an extensive ministry experience in second generation Korean American and multi-ethnic ministry. He began as a youth pastor in Southern California, then moved to an internship at First Evangelical Free Church of Fullerton under the pastor leadership of Chuck Swindoll. It was there that Pastor Ray was ordained and received his call to Korean Central Presbyterian Church as their English Pastor, he served there for three years from 1993-1996. Afterwards, he planted a multi-ethnic church, Ambassador Bible Church, in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. In 2000, Ray moved back to Southern California to the same church where Pastor Ray did his internship, EV Free Fullerton to become the Outreach Pastor. In 2003, Pastor Ray planted his second church, Ambassador Church.

Pastor Ray is married to Sun Joo Chang and they have twin daughters, Kristen and Karissa.

Pastor of Upreach – Jeff Spindle

Jeff Spindle serves Ambassador Church as the Associate Pastor of Upreach and Young Adults. He is a former financial advisor who oversees Ambassador’s worship and creative arts ministries, and often leads the worship team on Sundays. Jeff has a passion to see consumers transformed into worshippers, to see self-centered people become God-centered Christ-followers. Jeff loves Christ-centered biblical teaching that teaches people why the Bible is both true and reliable.

He arrived at Ambassador Church in June, 2008 from the great state of Texas. Jeff holds a Masters of Divinity (M.Div) degree from Westminster Theological Seminary. He plays the guitar and dabbles on the piano, writing the occasional song.

Jeff has been married to his precious wife Nikki since 2005.

Pastor of Inreach – Jeff Volkmer

As the Pastor of Inreach, Jeff leads the small group, administration, ABI (Ambassador Bible Institute), and discipleship ministries. Jeff’s passion is seeing people grow deeper in love with Christ through a mature walk with Him and by acting upon one’s spiritual gifts.

Jeff has been the Inreach Pastor since June ’08 having moved from England where he was engaged in graduate study. Jeff holds a B.A. from University of Hawaii, a Masters in Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary, and he is currently finishing up his Doctor of Philosophy in Old Testament at Oxford University.

Jeff is married to Jessica, and has two children, Grace and John.

Pastor of Outreach – Ethan Hedberg

Ethan Hedberg is our Pastor of Outreach. As Pastor of Outreach he oversees all missions (local and global), gives each ministry mission goals, and keeps his ears open for ministry opportunities to serve God's people. He has been serving at Ambassador since June 2007.

Ethan serves the Evangelical Free Church of America on the Student Ministries Board and is the Director of Student Ministries for EFCA West. He graduated Biola in 1994 and got his M.Div from Talbot in 2001. He has the Certificate of Christian Ministry license from EFCA.

Ethan is married to Laura and they have two children, Charis and Elias.
