All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. -- 2Ti 3.16-17

It is truly amazing to pause and reflect on what we have in the Scriptures -- the same life-giving dynamic that God breathed into Adam to begin human life, is the very breath breathed into His Word. This God-breathed Word is the food of the Ambassador Kitchen, a meal that is able to sustain and provide unending nourishment for all of life’s scenarios.

However, as important as it is to realize the nature of God’s Word, it is just as important to fully appreciate the purpose of God’s Word. It is easy to stop and be amazed at the miracle that is the living Scriptures, but in many ways it is even more amazing to realize that the purpose for God breathing life into His Word is to provide a means to impact a community of believers.

The Scriptures are God-breathed so that each believer at Ambassador may be thoroughly equipped for every good work. This is what the small group ministry at Ambassador, what we call The Kitchen, provides -- a place where a community of believers can gather together and through devotion to God’s Word and each other to be equipped for good works and life change. This is the Great Food and Great Company of the Ambassador Kitchen.

It is our goal to have every member of our church involved in a small group. The small groups at Ambassador are for the most part sermon-based allowing for special interests to be addressed within the group as they arise. A sermon-based small group curriculum is one in which the Scripture(s) preached during our Sunday service are worked through within the context of the small group community where we are able to encourage one another in light of God’s Word as we move through the Bible together.

These home Bible study groups require a ten-week commitment, and are comprised of 10-16 people. They meet weekly to share, to study God's Word, and to support one another spiritually. Small group sessions last for 10-weeks and run from September through June, taking a break during the summer months.

The Mission of the Small Group Ministry of Ambassador Church

The mission of the small group ministry helps to achieve the overall mission of the church by providing a biblical community that fosters spiritual growth and connection through relationships.

The small group ministry of Ambassador also growths out of two of our Core Values:

Care:

We care through our small groups where spiritual formation and assimilation take place. (Acts 2:42)

Connection:

We want to connect everyone to their God given spiritual gifts, ministry and the body of Christ. (1 Corinthians 12)
